Troubleshooting

What to check when leads have no source, conversions are not sent or the CRM stays empty.

Leadwon checks its own setup. Problems appear at the top of the Leads screen and in Tools → Site Health, with what to do. If you are unsure, start there.

Leads have no source

  • Consent. If Leadwon waits for consent, check that your banner passes marketing consent through the WP Consent API, or calls leadwon.grantConsent(). See Cookie consent.
  • Script optimisation. Plugins that delay JavaScript until the first click can start Leadwon too late. Exclude leadwon from delaying.
  • Visitors who decline cookies have no source. That is expected; the share is shown in Site Health.

A form is not saved

  • Check that it is ticked under Leads → Forms, and run the scan again after you changed the form.
  • Forms inside pop-ups or shown only after a click may not be found by the scan. Add data-leadwon to the form tag.
  • Embedded forms from services that do not tell your site about submissions cannot be saved.

Conversions are not sent

Open the lead. The box of each ad platform says what was sent and why something was not. The most common answers:

The lead says What to do
The lead did not come from an ad click on this platform. Nothing; without a click ID there is nothing to report. Turn on enhanced conversions to match such leads by email and phone.
The visitor did not agree to marketing cookies, so nothing is reported. Nothing; this is how it should be.
Older than 90 days, so the platform no longer accepts it. Nothing; platforms only take conversions within 90 days of the click (Meta 7 days).
The conversion action is new. Wait. Google accepts uploads to a new conversion action after about six hours, Microsoft after about two; Leadwon tries again by itself.
Access to the ad account was revoked or has expired. Connect the account again under Leads → Ad platforms. Waiting conversions are sent afterwards.

Conversions are sent by WP-Cron. On sites with very few visitors, WP-Cron runs rarely. Set up a real cron job that calls wp-cron.php every five minutes.

The license cannot be activated

  • Your license is already used on the maximum number of sites. Deactivate Leadwon Pro on a site you no longer use, or move to a larger plan.
  • The license is registered for a different site address. Open Leads → Account and sync the license, for example after moving from a staging site.

Still stuck?

Write to us with the address of your site, the lead in question and a screenshot of what Leadwon shows. Customers of a paid plan get an answer by email within one working day.
