Choose the forms that count as leads
Leadwon works with 25 form plugins and page builders on its own. The form scan finds every other form on your site.
You do not have to change your forms. When a supported form plugin processes a submission, Leadwon reads the source of the visit from its cookie and saves the lead. No hidden fields are needed.

Scan your site
Open Leads → Forms and click Find the forms on your site. Leadwon looks at your pages like a visitor and lists every form it finds, with the pages it is on. It takes about a minute, and nothing on your site changes until you save the list.
- Untick the forms that are not enquiries, for example a newsletter sign-up or a search box.
- Tick forms that were built without a form plugin, for example in your theme, Breakdance or Avada.
- Give forms a name if you like. It is used in the reports instead of the technical name.
- Click Save.
Forms that only appear after a click, in a pop-up or for logged-in users may be missing from the list. Forms of supported form plugins are saved as leads anyway, unless you untick them.
Forms from other services
Some forms are embedded from another service and run on its servers. How much Leadwon can save depends on what the service tells your site:
- HubSpot and Tally tell your site the answers, so the lead is saved with them.
- Typeform and Calendly only tell your site that a visitor sent the form or booked. The lead shows where the visitor came from, without name or email.
- Others do not tell your site at all. The scan lists them for your information only.
A form in your theme or own code
Add a data-leadwon attribute to the form tag, with the name the form should have in the reports:
<form action="/send.php" method="post" data-leadwon="Quote request">
Leadwon then saves the submission in the background, without changing how the form works. For forms that send their data with code of their own, see Custom forms and hooks.
Lead source in your notification emails
Put {leadwon_attribution} into the notification email of any form plugin to see where the lead came from. {leadwon_channel}, {leadwon_source} and {leadwon_campaign} insert single values. Contact Form 7 also lists [_leadwon_attribution] among its mail tags.
