Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, buy Leadwon Pro or use Leadwon Cloud. The Leadwon plugins store the data of your own visitors in your WordPress installation; for that data, you are the controller, not us.

2. Visiting this website

When you open a page, our server receives the data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, the browser and operating system, and the status of the response. We need these data to deliver the website and to keep it secure, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The server logs are deleted after 14 days, unless a security incident has to be investigated.

Hosting

The website and Leadwon Cloud run on servers of Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 Munich, Germany, in data centres in Germany. Contabo processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Cloudflare

The website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which protects it against attacks and speeds up loading. For this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical data of your requests, possibly also in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and we have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare that includes the EU standard contractual clauses. Legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and fast website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Leadwon Cloud, the service used by the Pro plugin, is reached directly and not through Cloudflare.

Cookies and similar techniques

This website uses no cookies for analysis or advertising and no tracking tools. Fonts and scripts are served from our own server; no data is sent to font or script services. If you choose a language, a cookie named pll_language remembers your choice for one year. It is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (§ 25 (2) TDDDG) and contains nothing but the language code.

3. Contact

If you write to us by email or call us, we process your message, your contact details and what we need to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR when it concerns a contract or a purchase, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete these data when your request is settled, unless we have to keep them for tax or commercial reasons.

4. Buying Leadwon Pro

Leadwon Pro is sold by our reseller Freemius Inc., 4023 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807, USA, who processes your order, payment and invoice as seller (merchant of record). The checkout opens on Freemius’s website; their privacy policy applies: freemius.com/privacy. The transfer of your data to the USA for this purpose is necessary to fulfil the contract (Art. 49 (1) (b) GDPR).

From Freemius, we receive your name, your email address, the plan you bought and your license, so that we can provide the product, updates and support (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We keep these data for as long as your license is active and afterwards for as long as tax and commercial law require.

5. Using Leadwon Pro and Leadwon Cloud

License and updates. Leadwon Pro uses the software of Freemius to activate the license and deliver updates. When you activate it, the plugin sends Freemius the address of your site, the versions of WordPress, PHP and the plugin, and the name and email address of the administrator who activates it. Further data are only sent if you agree to it in the plugin.

Leadwon Cloud. Leadwon Pro uses Leadwon Cloud, our service on servers in Germany. It checks your license and connects your site to Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, HubSpot and Pipedrive. It stores your license, the addresses of the sites it is active on and the encrypted connection to the accounts you connect. If you use the agency dashboard, it stores totals per site, such as numbers of leads and ad spend, for up to 90 days. Requests are logged without their content and deleted after 14 days. Legal basis is the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

Conversions. When your site reports a conversion to Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising, Leadwon Cloud forwards the click ID, the value and, if you turn this on, email addresses and phone numbers hashed on your site, to the platform without storing them. For these data, we act as your processor. If you need a data processing agreement, write to us. Leads, names, email addresses and messages of your visitors are not stored in Leadwon Cloud.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have them rectified (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict their processing (Art. 18), to receive them in a portable format (Art. 20) and to withdraw any consent you gave, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).

Right to object: where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

To exercise your rights, write to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the one responsible for us: Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

7. Security

All connections to this website and to Leadwon Cloud are encrypted with TLS. Access tokens are stored encrypted.

8. Changes

We update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always available on this page.
